Group Tours

School groups from all over the New York City area visit the Louis Armstrong House Museum almost every day. And more and more tour companies from all over the world are including a stop at Satchmo’s home.

RESERVATIONS

All groups are required to make advance reservations—please use our Group Tour Request Form to do so. We welcome groups between 8 and 40 people. Groups larger than 40 require special approval.

RATES

The group rate is $6 per person (including teachers, chaperones, etc.) Payment is due when you arrive at the Museum. We accept cash, business checks, money orders, or credit cards (Visa or Mastercard). Advance payment also accepted.

TEACHER’S KIT

Before bringing your school group to the Museum, you may want to download our Teacher’s Kit as a PDF file. (You need to have Adobe Reader installed to view PDF files.) A visit to the Museum meets the New York State and New York City Learning Standards.

FOOD

The Museum does not have a café, but we recommend local restaurants on the Nearby Attractions & Restaurants page. Food is not allowed inside the Museum. Bagged lunches may be enjoyed in the garden (if the weather is nice). Extra tables and chairs are available upon request.
