Lucy Yeghiazaryan is an Armenian-American vocalist and violinist emerging as a leading voice in contemporary straight-ahead jazz\, blending her cultural heritage with the American jazz tradition. Born in Armenia and raised in New Jersey\, she honed her craft through the Jazz for Teens program at NJPAC and is now based in NYC\, performing at venues including Jazz at Lincoln Center and Birdland. Yeghiazaryan has worked with artists such as Harold Mabern\, Houston Person\, and Terell Stafford\, and is a recipient of grants from the Doris Duke Foundation\, Chamber Music America\, and the New York Foundation for the Arts. \nThis concert will take place at Astoria Park in Astoria. It’s free—just show up!
