Collage Art with the Louis Armstrong House Museum

This workshop is inspired by the collage artwork of jazz legend and trumpeter Louis Armstrong and facilitated by the Art Educator Charanya Ramakrishnan, Director of Community Engagement at LAHM. The session explores collage as a form of storytelling and archiving, rooted in the jazz traditions of improvisation, assemblage, and collaboration. Participants will learn about Armstrong’s collage works and create their own artwork to take home. Please come into the library or call to register. Limited space available. Materials will be provided for up to 35 participants.
