Edmar Castañeda at LAHM

Join us for a special free afternoon performance by internationally acclaimed harpist and composer Edmar Castañeda on Wednesday, June 11 at 1:30 p.m. in the Louis Armstrong House Garden.

Known for redefining the role of the harp in contemporary jazz, the Latin GRAMMY-nominated Colombian musician blends jazz improvisation with the rich musical traditions of Latin America. Praised by NPR for his “amazing technique” and by The New York Times for his singular approach to modern jazz, Castañeda has collaborated with artists including Wynton Marsalis, Sting, Béla Fleck, and Paquito D’Rivera.

This free public concert offers a rare opportunity to experience one of today’s most innovative musicians in an intimate outdoor setting at the Louis Armstrong House Museum.
