New Corona Collection Interview – Remembering Joey White

A year ago, on April 30, 2025, Joey White passed away – just six months after sharing his story with us.

His legacy lives on. In this moving clip from our Corona Collection oral history series, Joey White reflects on the values that shaped his life and the neighborhood he loved. Joey’s story is a powerful reminder of the importance of preserving local voices and honoring the people who help define a place.

Though he is no longer with us, his spirit continues to inspire. This is Interview #5 in our Corona Collection series, a project dedicated to preserving the voices and memories of the Louis Armstrong House Museum community.
