In October 2025, the Louis Armstrong House Museum proudly hosted a Community Housing Fair in collaboration with NYC Housing Preservation & Development (HPD), ELMCOR, and the Neighborhood Housing Services of Queens. The event welcomed more than 80 community members and neighbors seeking resources and guidance on affordable housing, property maintenance, building concerns, and tenant rights.

A wide range of city and community agencies participated, including the Department of Buildings, Commission on Human Rights, Housing Court Answers, Division of Housing and Community Renewal, NYC Mayor’s Public Engagement Unit – Tenant Support, Center for NYC Neighborhoods, the Queens District Attorney’s Office, and SNAP. Together, these partners provided valuable information and support to help residents strengthen their housing stability and community well-being.
